FEED

FEED (front-end engineering design) is a phase in the life cycle of a project that precedes the actual implementation of the project. It is the phase after concept selection and consists of a detailed study and design phase that establishes the technical specifications of the project that form the basis for the detailed designs before construction or implementation begins.
